A stay in Livorno

Livorno is a town that overlooks the crystal clear waters of the sea, with beautiful places, historical monuments and also for those who love nature you can do walks and excursions in the water. Walking through the city you can see the Old Fortress  a complex built to protect the port, is one of the most significant monuments of urbanization Medici; is constituted by three bastions: toward the sea said "Canaviglia", Pond said that towards the "Capitana" and intermediate said "Ampoletta." The New Fortress is a mighty bastion (XVII) now used as a public park. Between the two fortresses overlooks a characteristic neighborhood called "The New Venice", seafaring tradition. This picturesque area is characterized by a dense network of canals, also here is the Dominican church of S. Catherine apse singular that guards the Coronation of the Virgin by Vasari. Walking around you can get to Piazza della Repubblica, among the most characteristic streets of Livorno, with the two

It 'a roof terrace, one of the most charming places in Livorno, that overlooks the sea and allows to enjoy the view of the islands of the Tuscan archipelago, the port and the city. Due to its location between the sea and hills,  Livorno offers a wide range of possibilities to enjoy its magnificent nature: fishing, underwater excursions, sailing and windsurfing as well as hiking and mountain biking. A city to discover or rediscover as described because there are other interesting things to see.
